Hear My Story

CHARLOTTE SMITH

Charlotte Smith, a young volunteer from the United States, has been helping at the Center since just after the war started in 2022.

“In the early days our challenge was to build the Center, to make a safe and comfortable temporary stay for many residents.
Now the challenge is a different one.
It is to understand the needs of the remaining residents and to help them in any way that we can. Each has a fascinating story to tell.”

Here Charlotte highlights the stories and the ways that you can help some of our longer-term residents.
